    7 Options for Taking CBD

    By MarkMarch 21, 2021Updated:May 26, 2021No Comments4 Mins Read

Like many other consumable products, CBD can come in a variety of different shapes and forms. Remember to discuss your options with your doctor before making any decisions regarding CBD products. Here are seven options for taking CBD.

    1. Capsules

CBDfx capsules are pills, typically soft gels, that you can take just like you would a vitamin or supplement. These are an easy method of incorporating CBD into your routine, especially if you already take medications, vitamins or supplements. You can just take the capsules the same way: in the morning, evening or with a meal.

    1. Tinctures

One of the most well-known methods of taking CBD is via oil tincture. In a tincture, TerraVita CBD oil derived from hemp or cannabis is mixed with a carrier oil, such as coconut oil.  Then, you use the dropper that comes with the bottle to administer the oil. Tinctures are probably the most versatile method of taking CBD, as you can consume it directly, apply it topically or place it in a diffuser.

    1. Gummies

Like capsules, gummies and other edibles are relatively unassuming and easy ways to consume CBD. Gummies tend to be the most popular option, but you can also find CBD mints and other candies. Like capsules, gummies are a simple, quick addition to your daily routine, especially if you’re already used to taking gummy vitamins. However, all edibles, including gummies, contain more additives than other CBD products do. This is done as part of the recipe the CBD is infused in or simply to preserve the product, but it can cause the level of CBD to be much lower and slower to absorb than other options. Because of this, it may be more difficult to discern any effects from the CBD you’re taking.

    1. Diffusers

A diffuser is a great way to disperse CBD into your environment in a slow and controlled manner. Most diffusers can be loaded with oil tinctures, which are slowly heated so the oil vaporizes into the air of a room. CBD is often diffused in conjunction with aromatherapy, so it may be mixed with an essential oil, such as lavender, eucalyptus or peppermint, as its carrier oil.

    1. Vape Pens

Vape pens allow you to inhale CBD, but more directly than diffusers. There are liquid and wax options available, both of which slowly vaporize the product and funnel it through the pen for you to breathe in. As a method that avoids the need to digest the CBD and its carrier products, a vape pen allows the CBD to be absorbed more directly and in higher quantities. However, keep in mind that medical studies have associated vaping with respiratory issues, so you should make an informed decision regarding vaping. For example, if you have asthma, you should choose another method to take CBD.

    1. Sublingual Products

If you want to take CBD oil orally and avoid the additives or slow absorption times associated with capsules, gummies and other edible forms, you can try a sublingual product. A sublingual product is applied to the tongue or held in the mouth until it dissolves, which allows for faster absorption. A tincture can be used as a sublingual consumption method, but this variety of CBD products also includes lozenges and oral sprays.

    1. Topical Options

You don’t always need to consume or inhale CBD, either. There are plenty of topical products available if you prefer a more localized application. You can find CBD in products such as lotions, creams, patches and balms. Because there is some research linking CBD to anti-inflammatory effects, some people use topical products to try to relieve pain and swelling. Keep in mind that this link is tenuous and more research is required, so you would do well to look for a product containing other analgesics, such as menthol. CBD vape pens are a great way to get your daily dose of CBD. They can be more convenient than vaping CBD oil because you don’t have to measure out and fill the cartridge with liquid. The only downside is that they need recharged. We recommend checking out this article ” how to recharge a disposable vape “when you get these things right, vaping is great! One of the positives of topical products is that all of the CBD in the product will be applied directly to your skin but remember that, like edibles, the CBD will typically be mixed with other ingredients.

The kind of CBD product you choose may depend on what you want to take CBD for. If you want a fast-acting result, a sublingual product may be best, while topical ointments may work better for localized areas, for example.
